As of Monday, April 5, public health officials in Los Angeles reported 366 new cases of the coronavirus, bringing the total number of cases to 1,222,447.
Though bottlenecks in testing coronavirus and reporting lags can cause delays,the most recent figures will be posted here as soon as all three agencies have reported.

According to the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health, the county has had 1,222,114 cases and 23,275 fatalities since the pandemic began.
Although the majority of orange-tier rules will not go into effect until Monday, rules for theme parks and outdoor live event venues, such as Dodger Stadium, went into effect on Thursday. These rules permitted theme parks to open at a 25 percent occupancy.
This means that movie theatres, restaurants, churches, museums, zoos, and aquariums can increase their capacity from 25% to 50%, while gyms can increase their capacity from 10% to 25%. Indoor operations in card rooms and family entertainment centres can resume at 25% capacity.
Vaccines
According to state data, vaccine doses have been administered to residents of Los Angeles County to date. Over the last seven days, an average of 89,911 doses have been distributed per day for the coronavirus.
Deaths
Officials reported one new death linked to the coronavirus, bringing the total number of deaths linked to the virus to 23,276 since tracking began.
As of Monday, the county had administered a total of 4,945,462 vaccinations.
Hospitalization
Since Monday, one more hospitalisation has been reported, bringing the total number of hospitalizations to 591related to coronavirus. This represents a 93.4 percent decrease in hospitalizations from the high of 8,915 on January 5th.
Officials emphasise that the data posted each day is preliminary and subject to change. As individual case investigations are completed, more information may become available.
