Zac Efron has fans doing an about face following his appearance on an Earth Day special. After ten months of dating, Zac Efron and his girlfriend, Australian model Vanessa Valladares, have called it quits.
The actor, 33, and his model girlfriend were first linked in 2020. They first met in June while she was working at the Byron Bay General Store & Cafe, where the Hollywood heartthrob had been spending time during the COVID-19 crisis.
“Zac recently broke things off with Vanessa,” a source told the People. “It just didn’t feel right anymore,” he said. So far, neither Vanessa nor Zac have commented on the split.
On April 22, the “High School Musical” star appeared on Bill Nye’s “Earth Day Musical” special with Facebook Watch, but many fans missed his message because they were too focused on his face.
Is he a plastic surgeon? Did he get fillers in his cheeks? These were the kinds of questions that were trending on Twitter.
“I refuse to believe this is Zac Efron’s new face,” one fan wrote.
TMZ reported last summer that the actor was “burned out living in and around Hollywood” and wanted to relocate to Australia’s Byron Bay area, where Chris Hemsworth lives.
According to the Daily Telegraph, Zac even put in a bid on a home in Byron Beach but lost out on the property. Nonetheless, he stayed and extended his tourist visa for a year to stay in the area.
“He was only going to fly home if it was absolutely necessary,” a source told the Daily Mail at the time. “He didn’t want to return to America.”
