The Lakers and the defence of League No 1 encountered the Brooklyn Nets and the offence of League No. 1. Well, the team with better protection and 50% of shootings from the field took this 126-101 at night.

Lakers Free Agency Rumors: Kyrie Irving 'is considering' L.A., LeBron James is trying to recruit him - Silver Screen and Roll

The Lakers‘ starting lineup in Brooklyn was missing LeBron James, Anthony Davis, and Kyle Kuzma. And, with James Harden out, the Nets were forced to rely on Kevin Durant (22 points, 7 rebounds) for limited minutes. Due to the absence of starters on both teams, Lakers Dennis Schröder (19 points) and Nets Kyrie Irving (18 points) emerged as key contributors in the first half.

They both led their respective teams in scoring, with Schröder in particular being responsible for generating offence with his lightning-fast drives to the basket. Unfortunately, both point guards got into a spat at the start of the third quarter and were ejected from the game after drawing a double technical.

Losing these guys put each team to the test: who could adapt and change faster? The Lakers, on the other hand, have had their fair share of unforeseen circumstances this season, so dealing with a sudden change in their rotation is not the Lake Show’s first rodeo. They changed, adapted, and increased their lead to 28 points at one point.

The Lakers three-point shooting has been strong for the third game in a row. As you might expect, the team shot 55% from beyond the arc, led by the newest Laker, Ben McLemore (17 pts) and Kentavious Caldwell-Pope (14 pts, 5 ast).

Andre Drummond Shines again

Andre Drummond (20 points, 11 rebounds) had a big night, making an impact on both sides of the ball. Dre has smooth handles for a big man and isn’t afraid of getting physical in the paint. In general, if Drummond believes he is on his way to the hoop, he is on his way to the hoop. AD2 also had the most rebounds for both teams on the night. Because of Drummond’s strength, the Lakers have become even more dangerous in the paint.

Andre Drummond trade: LA Lakers lead the race in the NBA Free Agency

Talen Horton-Tucker is the youngest, but certainly not the last, member of the group (14 pts, 11 ast). The young gun’s game continues to improve. With Dennis gone, the team turned to THT, who delivered offensively. He’s a confident kid with iso moves, and he showed playmaker tendencies tonight. Talen’s vision continues to expand.
