RONALDO , Since joining Juventus has scored more than FOUR TIMES as many goals as any of his teammates.
Since signing from Real Madrid for £99 million in 2018, the Portuguese superstar, 36, has also scored more goals than any other player in the Italian league.
Most people believe Juventus will advance past Porto in Tuesday’s Champions League last-16 second leg in Turin thanks to Cristiano Ronaldo.
Some, however, believe he is the reason the Bianconeri have a 2-1 deficit to overcome.
Juve were dreadful in the first leg at the Dragao, with Ronaldo particularly ineffective. The Portuguese had Rodrigo Bentancur to thank for avoiding the ignominy of being labelled the worst player on the pitch, as the Gazzetta dello Sport pointed out in their match rating.
“Antonio claims to have slept with over 700 women,” the Juve boss wrote dismissively of Cassano in his autobiography, “but he’s no longer called by the national team, so can he be happy?”
But is Juve content with Ronaldo? And, more importantly, is Ronaldo content with Juve? Is a love affair that began while the Portuguese was still a Real Madrid player doomed to fail?
Only one of those goals has been met as we enter the third year of Ronaldo’s four-year contract.
Ronaldo costs Juventus around €85 million (£73 million/$94 million) per year in wages, taxes, and amortisation (the money the club has committed to paying on an annual basis to cover the striker’s transfer fee over the course of his four-year contract).
Ronaldo has scored 76 goals and provided 17 assists in 89 league games for the Bianconeri.
In the same time period, no other Juventus player has scored more than 18 goals.
With 50 goals in just 61 league appearances, the former Manchester United hero became the fastest player ever to reach the half-century mark.
Some People Thinks He Is Not Up To The Mark
Despite his prolific goal-scoring, not everyone believes Ronaldo has been a positive addition to the Old Lady.
The team is struggling under Andrea Pirlo and their decade of domestic dominance appears to be coming to an end this season.
fourth position With ten games remaining in the Serie A season, Juventus is ten points behind leaders Inter Milan.Cassano also explained away his incredible goal total by claiming he plays selfishly and only cares about scoring and breaking more individual records.
