Former U.S. President Donald Trump may make every other White House run in 2024, but if he does, he’ll take his place in American history as a two-time loser, House of Representatives Speaker Nancy Pelosi expected on Thursday.

While traveling to England for an assembly of parliamentary leaders from G7 countries, the Democratic leader was requested during a discussion board to reflect upon the two impeachment complaints she initiated in opposition to Trump, overdue in 2019 and in January 2021.

Seizing the possibility to exert a political factor towards the man who is still the most powerful force in the Republican party, Pelosi proclaimed, “I do not ever communicate with him.”

But she persisted in speaking about Trump, albeit without being summoned.

“I refer to him once in a while as’ what is his call,'” Pelosi stated, quickly adding: “If he wants to run again, he will be the first president who has been impeached two times and defeated twice.”

Her remarks were met with loud applause from the largely British audience.

For the duration of Trump’s four years in the White House, Pelosi tangled with the president over immigration policy, infrastructure investments, the pandemic reaction and a huge variety of other domestic and overseas problems.

She won recognition for being eager to skewer the difficult-hitting Trump and has become one of the largest thorns in his side as she initiated not one, but two impeachment proceedings in opposition to him.

The Republican-managed Senate acquitted Trump in both instances.

The former president is already playing a role in the 2022 midterm elections for Congress by recruiting challengers to Republican lawmakers he has tangled with. And Trump has dropped a few pointers that he might be searching for the presidency for a third time in 2024.

“I say to my Republican friends, and I do have a few, ‘Take back your birthday celebration,'” Pelosi stated. “You have now been hijacked via a cult. This is just not suitable for our country.”
