LOUISVILLE, KENTUCKY – Rowan University’s Kevin Lauer finished 172nd in a time of 25:14.6 at the 2021 NCAA Division III Cross Country Championship on Nov. 20.The championships were hosted by Spalding University and the Louisville Sports Commission at E.P. “Tom” Sawyer State Park.Lauer’s time was a season best in an 8K race with over 290 competitors this season.
Individually, Alex Phillip of John Carroll won (23:27.6), finishing just under three seconds ahead of Williams’ Elias Lindgren.
Pomona-Pitzer won the team title with 80 points, as five of its runners finished in the top 26. Dustin Dimit, head coach, spoke about the junior’s performance on the day. “We are very proud of Kevin and his race today,” he said of the recent Lenape High School graduate. “Finishing the season with his best time of the year and beating athletes who were ahead of him at conferences and regionals is a fantastic way to end the season.”
