In their one-hour holiday special, Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton spread holiday cheer.Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton will star in a one-hour special on “From Apple Music With Love” as part of Apple Music’s holiday “gift” releases for the season. The power couple will discuss everything from family traditions to memories to music.Stefani tells a storey about how her husband’s ranch has inspired her.
“We were talking about doing covers and other people’s songs a lot, and one of my favourite life moments was writing a Christmas song,” she says. “It was a very spiritual experience.” I was actually going for a run on your ranch at the time, and it was one of the first times I thought to myself, ‘Okay, I need to write a Christmas album.’ I’m going to go outside and think about it. I’m going to say a prayer about it.
‘I’m also going to run on your ranch.'”The singer was taken aback by the thought.”And then this Christmas song called “Christmas Eve” came into my head, it was like a miracle,” she recalls. “And I began booking back to the lodge because I was like, ‘Oh my gosh, I need to get my phone.'” Did I just make this up? ‘How could this have happened?’ And it was nothing short of a Christmas miracle.
And I was singing it to my mom, and my parents were there, and I was like, ‘Does this sound like a church song?’ ‘Did I steal this?'””The fact that you wanted to make a tradition out of it is almost anti-tradition, because a tradition is something you’ve done your entire life and keep repeating….” “And that makes me very uncomfortable because my parents were very traditional when I was a kid,” she explains.
“It makes me feel like I’m going to get in trouble because I now have control over what we’re actually putting in our mouths at Christmas.” So, in any case, thank you for pushing me, pushing me to come up with new and creative ways to feed our family.”The episode of “From Apple Music With Love” featuring the married couple will be available for streaming on December 3.
