Montana reported 962 new COVID-19 cases on Friday, bringing the state’s total active case count to 11,731.The virus has claimed the lives of 2,017 people in the state, an increase of eight people since Thursday.
There are 412 active hospitalizations, with 138,257 total recoveries.Cascade County added 60 new COVID-19 cases on Friday. There are 1,210 active cases and 210 deaths from the virus in the county.
Fourty-nine percent of Cascade County residents who are eligible are fully vaccinated. Yellowstone County reported a total of 216 new cases. There are 2,884 active cases in the county, with a total of 334 deaths. COVID-19 killed 33 Yellowstone County residents in September. Billings Clinic and St. Vincent Healthcare had treated 116 COVID-19 inpatients as of Friday. 99 of them were unvaccinated. Fifty-two percent of Yellowstone County residents who are eligible are fully vaccinated. On Friday, Missoula County reported 112 new cases, Gallatin County reported 94, Flathead County reported 58, and Lewis and Clark County reported 48. Fifty-three percent of Montanans who are eligible are fully vaccinated.
