Batman Day is celebrated on the third Saturday of September, so DC fans have been treated to a plethora of great content on social media today. Matt Reeves, the director of Batman, revealed a new look at Robert Pattinson as the Dark Knight, and composer Michael Giacchino revealed a first look at the film’s score.

People involved with the DCEU, including Wonder Woman star Gal Gadot, also celebrated Batman today. Zack Snyder, whose new director’s cut of Justice League was just released on DVD, Blu-ray, and 4K UHD, is the latest person with a Batman connection to take to social media. Snyder used Twitter to promote the film’s physical release and to celebrate Batman.

The Hot Seat – Zack Snyder – WRITE DRUNK; EDIT DRUNK

This week, Zack Snyder’s Justice League dominated Blu-ray and DVD sales, outselling The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It, the week’s #2 seller, by a 5-to-1 margin. A boxed set containing Snyder’s three DC films (Man of Steel, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, and Zack Snyder’s Justice League) also made the top 20, peaking at number 14.

According to Media Play News, which covers the home entertainment market, Blu-ray formats accounted for 75% of Zack Snyder’s Justice League first-week unit sales, with 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray accounting for 38% of the total, standard Blu-ray accounting for 37%, and DVD accounting for 25%.

The film will not fare as well on the digital charts because Warner Bros. has chosen to limit its digital release to HBO Max. In Zack Snyder’s Justice League, Bruce Wayne (Ben Affleck) joins forces with Diana Prince (Gal Gadot) to recruit a team of metahumans to protect the world from an impending threat of catastrophic proportions. The task proves more difficult than Bruce anticipated, as each of the recruits must confront the demons of their own pasts in order to transcend that which has held them back, allowing them to finally form an unprecedented league of heroes.

Now that they’ve joined forces, Batman (Affleck), Wonder Woman (Gadot), Aquaman (Jason Momoa), Cyborg (Ray Fisher), and The Flash (Ezra Miller) may be too late to save the world from Steppenwolf, DeSaad, and Darkseid.
