It’s difficult to believe, but Reese Witherspoon now has two adult children. Her second child, son Deacon Phillippe, turns 18 today, and the Oscar winner marked the occasion by sharing a sweet tribute to her son on social media, as many famous parents do.
Witherspoon posted five photos of her first son, whom she shares with ex-husband Ryan Phillippe, in the carousel post, which she shared early this morning. The first photo showed Deacon looking very mature — and a lot like his famous father! The remaining four photos showed Deacon as he grew up, including a selfie he took with his mother. Witherspoon added a touching caption to the precious photos.
“How on earth did this happen?!?” Witherspoon launched into her birthday message. “[Deacon Phillippe] is 18 years old?!! In the backyard one day, he was trading Pokémon cards, singing Bruno Mars songs, and playing American Ninja Warrior. “The next day, he is taller than me, grilling family steaks and making his own music with his best friends,” she wrote.”My heart is overflowing with pride for the young man he is developing into.” Deacon, happy 18th birthday! “I adore you to the moon, the sun, and all the stars.” Witherspoon has never hidden her pride in her three children, which include daughter Ava Phillippe, 22, and son Tennessee James Toth, 9, whom she shares with husband Jim Toth. But Deacon’s birthday was the perfect excuse to simply gush about her son and how much he has grown.
