After 22 years at NBC, Natalie Morales bid farewell to her viewers and colleagues on “Today” on Friday.Morales, who previously worked as an anchor for “Today” and as a correspondent for “Dateline NBC,” is leaving the network to join CBS as a host of “The Talk” in the afternoon.”Today” aired a touching farewell segment on Friday in which Morales reflected on her time at the network.”Dear viewer, I knew it was an honour to be a part of your morning tradition and sacred time the minute I stepped in front of the camera and into your living rooms,” Morales said.
“With you, I’ve had a front-row seat to moments that captured our hearts, moments I’ll never forget as I watched history unfold.””It’s as if we’ve all been on this journey together.”After 22 years with NBC, @nmoralestv is leaving. “I, too, was inspired to run and raise thousands of dollars for their cause because of your support,” Morales said. “So many extraordinary people touched our lives, entrusting us with their awe-inspiring journeys.””Dear viewer, you and my ‘Today’ family have provided me with a place to call home for the rest of my life. Thank you for all of those mornings and the lifetime of memories we now have. Natalie, you have my heartfelt love and gratitude “She came to a conclusion.Morales sat down with her “Today” co-hosts — Al Roker, Craig Melvin, Savannah Guthrie, Hoda Kotb, and Carson Daly — for a farewell toast.”No matter what you’ve done for the past 22 years, Natalie, you’re still the same person,” Roker said.
