Alter Ego will return tonight for the season finale, which will crown the show’s first winner. Alter Ego is a new FOX show that takes an interesting spin on the traditional singing competition format.
Contestants on the show create their own avatar, or “Alter Ego.” While performing, they control the avatar’s movements from backstage. The winner of this season will receive $100,000 as well as mentoring from the show’s celebrity judges, Alanis Morissette, Grimes, Nick Lachey, and Will.i.am.
The finale of the show will air Wednesday night, following The Masked Singer. We’ll find out which of the remaining singers will win the grand prize and be dubbed a “digital superstar,” to borrow a phrase from the show.
