Diane Keaton has a long history of appearing on talk shows. The actor has appeared on David Letterman, Jimmy Kimmel, and a variety of other shows over the course of her illustrious career. Along the way, Diane keaton always been a champion of bold fashion, bringing her penchant for strong shapes, dramatic chapeaus, and black-and-white ensembles to our television screens. Whereas other Hollywood celebrities frequently embrace glitz and glam for press appearances, Keaton has always maintained a more quirky, menswear-inspired look regardless of the occasion.
It’s therefore unsurprising that Gucci chose her to front a new talk show-inspired campaign for Gucci Beloved. Harmony Korine’s photo series, which debuted today, focuses on the label’s four most popular handbag styles, including the Dionysus and Jackie 1961 bags. To highlight them, creative director Alessandro Michele staged a late-night talk show titled the “Beloved Show” for the shoot (complete with James Corden as host). They enlist hollywood celebrities to appear as special guests while carrying the iconic bags. “These creations are frequently named after powerful women,” Michele explains. “Now, we twisted the concept to the point where there were two stars: the bag and the genuine talent.”
