Keanu Reeves’ champagne and truffles, anyone?Sandra Bullock shared an anecdote about Reeves from more than two decades ago in a wide-ranging feature about the “John Wick” star published this week in Esquire.According to Esquire, a year or so after meeting her co-star on the set of “Speed” in 1994, Bullock and Reeves were hanging out and chitchatting when the subject of Champagne and truffles came up.
Bullock casually mentioned that she’d never tried the combination.Bullock was at home painting her nails with a friend a few days later when she heard a motorcycle pull up outside. Reeves had arrived with flowers, Champagne, and truffles.According to the article, he told Bullock, “I just thought you might want to try Champagne and truffles to see what it’s like.””He sat down on the couch.” According to the Esquire article, Bullock “poured some Champagne and they opened the truffles.
” “Without saying anything, Keanu extended his hands, and Bullock painted his nails black, just like hers.”Reeves didn’t seem to stay long. He was on a date.Bullock stated that the two never got romantically involved because it would have jeopardised their friendship. Instead, she claims they grew up “on parallel roads” and crossed paths whenever possible.”And the longer I live, the more I am in awe of the human being.”
