Neighbors in Houston, Texas, were startled to see a tiger crawling outside their homes on Sunday night.

Around 8 p.m. local time, police received a call about a tiger in a neighbor’s front yard.

The tiger, however, had vanished as soon as they arrived.

“It wears a necklace. This is a person’s pet “Maria Torres, an eyewitness, stated that while filming the wild cat.

In a video, a neighbour leads a tiger by what appears to be a collar to a house.

Before the animal was brought in, another man appeared and pointed a weapon at it.

According to neighbours, the police were able to subdue the animal and transport it away in a white vehicle.

It’s unclear where the animal came from or who was responsible, but police are looking into it.

Houston Has A Long History Of Strange Encounters.

While Houston is primarily a large cosmopolitan city, the city has seen a fair share of tiger incidents.

A tiger was discovered caged in a southwestern garage in Houston in May 2019.

Brittany Garza, the former owner, was arrested by Houston police and charged with animal cruelty. She told our sister station KTRK-TV at the time that she raised the tiger, which she named “Rajah,” as a cub. But as Rajah grew older, she realised it was time to find him a new home.

Garza claimed to have made arrangements with a sanctuary and to have placed the animal in the care of a friend until the transfer could take place. However, the tiger was discovered in the garage by someone else before he could be moved.

The tiger was eventually taken to the Cleveland Amory Black Beauty Ranch in Murchison, Texas, where he is said to have spent the rest of his life.

Owners of “dangerous wild animals” in Texas, according to KTRK, must register their animals with their municipality, county animal office, or sheriff.

A dangerous animal is a lion, tiger, ocelot, cougar, leopard, cheetah, jaguar, linch, serval, caracal, hyene, bear, coyote, jackal, baboon, chimp, and orange orange.

Municipalities, on the other hand, have the authority to prohibit the ownership of these animals.

And anyone hoping to own a dangerous wild animal is out of luck within the city limits of Houston. It’s against the law.

Violations are misdemeanors with fines ranging from $500 to $2,000.
