American President Joe Biden, dealing with twin crises close to the United States of America’s borders, on Thursday declared Cuba “a failed nation” and stated that sending US forces into Haiti isn’t always on his timetable for the time being.

In the meantime, there were calls for the United States to ship troops to Haiti after President Jovenel Moise was shot dead early on July 7 at his Port-au-Prince home by what Haitian authorities describe as a unit of assassins, along with 26 Colombians and two Haitian Americans.
