Jessica Simpson's

Nick Lachey has no desire to read Jessica Simpson’s memoir because, in his opinion, he has “lived the book,” and doing so would result in a severe case of déjà vu.The “Alter Ego” judge, 41, told Andy Cohen on SiriusXM’s “Radio Andy” that while he was aware his ex-autobiography wife’s would be released, “you’ll be shocked to hear that I have not [read it] nor will I ever read it.””Here’s the thing: I knew the book was coming out, but I lived the book,” the 98 Degrees member explained. “I already know the truth, so I don’t need to read someone else’s version of it in a storey.”

Lachey and Simpson, 41, were married from 2002 until 2006, when they divorced. Both ex-spouses have since remarried and have children with their current partners, Vanessa Lachey and Eric Johnson, respectively.”I’m thrilled to be where I am in life, and that was 20 years ago, so it’s honestly the last thing on my mind these days, except when someone brings it up,” Lachey, 53, told Cohen. “I understand why people want to know, but it’s so far removed from my life that it’s no longer even on my radar.

Nick Lachey says he STILL hasn't read ex-wife Jessica Simpson's book (where she admitted to being 'saddened beyond belief' after split): 'I lived it' - Opera News

” In the paperback edition of Simpson’s “Open Book,” the singer and fashion mogul expressed her displeasure with the speed with which Lachey began dating his now-wife less than a year after her divorce from him was finalised.”So, Nick, you’re already with someone else? It appears that you have forgotten the love you expressed to me “Simpson penned an essay. “I’m heartbroken beyond words. I was alone in the dark, with no one to call mine.” Lachey even told Us Weekly in February 2020, when the book was released, that Simpson “did not reach out before it was published.”
