“This is an acute coronary syndrome with cardiogenic shock,” according to a hospital statement. “This is a distinct cardiac event that may or may not be related to the Covid vaccination.”

Tamil Nadu health secretary J Radhakrishnan clarified on Friday that Vivek’s cardiac condition is unrelated to his Covid vaccination on Thursday.

Vivek’s first dose of Covaxin was administered at a government health facility in Chennai.

According to Radhakrishnan, 860 people received the vaccine on the same day. “There is no direct relationship between his complete blockage and this. We performed a test on him today [Friday], and the results are [Covid-19] negative. “His CT scan also revealed no signs of COVID-19,” Radhakrishnan said. “Anaphylactic shock usually occurs within 30 minutes of receiving the vaccine. This [Vivek’s] case isn’t like that…”

Vivek urged the public to get vaccinated after receiving the vaccine.

He had been involved in public awareness campaigns, including those for dengue fever.

Vivek’s widow and two daughters survive him.
