A$AP Rocky has made no secret of his feelings for Rihanna. After being romantically linked with the 33-year-old R&B singer since last year, the 32-year-old rapper opens up about his relationship for the first time in GQ magazine.
Rocky, whose real name is Rakim Athelaston Mayers, refers to Rihanna as “my lady” and “the love of my life.”
“[Relationships] are so much better when you’ve found the One,” he tells the magazine. “She is probably equivalent to a million of the others.”
Rocky has been romantically linked to Kendall Jenner, Chanel Iman, Iggy Azalea, and Teyana Taylor in the past.
According to the GQ writer, Rocky is now “comfortable embracing monogamy.”
“I believe that when you know, you know. Rocky describes Rihanna as “the One.”
The couple married in 2020, according to a source who confirmed the news to ET last winter.
“They’ve always had amazing chemistry, and Rihanna connects with A$AP in a way that feels natural, easy, and fun,” a source told ET at the time. “She feels very at ease around him because they’ve known each other for so long, and she also feels a connection to him because his father is from Barbados.”
The two spent Christmas with Rihanna’s family in Barbados last year, but romance rumours first surfaced in July 2020, when Rihanna featured Rocky in her Fenty Skin campaign. “In the industry, he’s one of the guys who everyone loves [his] skin, in my opinion.
” I’ve always wondered, ‘How the hell do you have better skin than half of these girls?’ ‘I mean, what exactly do you do?'” Rihanna told ET about her collaboration with Rocky on the campaign. “Because this skincare line is gender neutral, I wanted men to be represented… We needed male representation in the campaign, so Rocky and Lil Nas stepped up.
