After a cold sculpting procedure, a person with PAH develops a massive and firm mass beneath their skin, making them appear “larger” than they were previously.

Fat freezing can occasionally take an unexpected turn, leaving permanent effects that can only be removed surgically. PAH removal surgery can occasionally cause complications. According to a 2018 study published in the medical journal of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, PAH occurs in one out of every 4,000 treatment cycles, for a 0.025 percent incidence.
