Elton, like many other artists, had missed live shows and expressed his excitement about performing for the final time: “It’s going to be very emotional and very joyful.” I used to love going to live shows; you miss it, you miss going crazy. It’s a way to let off steam, and music is a great healer and brings people together.

“As a result, I’m looking forward to it.”During the interview, Elton stated, “I want them to have happy memories and tell their kids, ‘you know he really cared about us,’ because I do care about my fans and I’ve always given 150 percent if I can.” I simply want them to have a good time. And I’d like them to go back and listen to some things they haven’t heard before from my back catalogue.

“Fleur asked if this was truly his final tour, and he replied, “I can assure you it’s the final tour, I will do some charity shows if asked, but I’m not touring again.” I’ll be 76 years old when I finish, and I need to spend time with my family.”Elton went on to say, “Who knows what I’ll be doing after the tour is over?” Life is full of surprises; I wasn’t expecting to make a record this year, and look what happened, so that’s the wonderful thing about life.”
