Liam Neeson and Pamela Anderson Are Officially Dating And the Internet Can’t Get Enough

After meeting on the set of The Naked Gun, the Hollywood duo is turning heads with a real-life romance that’s as surprising as it is sweet.

New York, July 29 EST: Forget Barbenheimer 2025’s most surprising crossover is a real-life rom-com starring Liam Neeson and Pamela Anderson. Yes, really. The Taken tough guy and the Baywatch bombshell have reportedly gone from scene partners to swooning sweethearts while filming the upcoming reboot of The Naked Gun.

According to a PEOPLE exclusive, the duo is officially dating and if the red carpet photos, TV flirtations, and cheeky social posts are anything to go by, they’re not exactly trying to keep it a secret.

On Set, On Screen, Off Script

The romance reportedly sparked during production of The Naked Gun, due in theaters August 1, where Neeson plays the slapstick detective Frank Drebin and Anderson his delightfully chaotic love interest. Sparks apparently flew between takes and never left.

Back in October, Neeson, 73, casually told People he was “madly in love” with Anderson, praising her poise and charm. At the time, it sounded like the kind of endearing exaggeration actors toss around on press tours. But Anderson, 58, responded with some eyebrow-raising sweetness of her own, calling Neeson a “perfect gentleman” and “humble.”

Cue the soundtrack.

A Red Carpet Slow Burn

Flash-forward to the London premiere on July 22. Cameras caught Anderson planting a kiss on Neeson’s cheek, and the buzz began.

Then came the New York premiere just a week later complete with their grown kids in tow and some very affectionate poses. Neeson draped an arm over Anderson’s shoulder like it belonged there. They laughed, leaned in close, and looked, well, genuinely into it.

By the time they popped up on The Today Show on July 29, it was clear the jig was up. The pair playfully kissed on live TV, dodged the D-word (dating), and left the audience with lines like “lovely budding chemistry” (Neeson) and “it just feels natural” (Anderson). Translation? You do the math.

A Love Story With Luggage

This isn’t just another celebrity fling it’s a high-emotion, late-in-life twist for two stars who’ve had their share of public heartbreak.

For Neeson, this is his first public romance since losing wife Natasha Richardson in 2009 a loss he’s spoken about with aching honesty. For Anderson, whose love life has been tabloid fodder for decades (hello, Tommy Lee, Kid Rock, and multiple marriages), this feels refreshingly grown-up.

Insiders told People it’s real, mutual, and unfolding with all the care of two people who know what it means to be burned in the spotlight.

Internet Reaction: “Wait, WHAT?”

Social media has had a field day. Reddit threads lit up with a mix of disbelief and delighted approval.

The general vibe? Confused joy. “Pamela Anderson and Liam Neeson are dating” is the kind of headline you double-check to make sure it’s not satire. But once the photos and interview clips start rolling, it weirdly makes sense.

They’re both icons in their own way he’s the voice of gravelly vengeance, she’s the beach-era pinup turned activist and memoirist. The fact that they’re vibing feels like the kind of plot twist only real life could serve up.

Art Imitating Life, and Vice Versa

It doesn’t hurt that The Naked Gun is already shaping up to be one of summer’s most watched comedy revivals. The film leans into parody, but the PR tour has veered straight into rom-com territory.

Studio insiders told Glamour that the chemistry onscreen was undeniable and that the studio is absolutely leaning into the real-life spark in its marketing push. It’s not quite Bennifer-level fanfare, but for two stars past the industry’s usual romance radar, it’s got fans locked in.

Will They Go the Distance?

For now, there’s no official word from reps, and both Neeson and Anderson are keeping it coy in interviews. But if you’ve seen the footage and let’s face it, everyone has you can’t fake that kind of ease.

The affection feels earned, not staged. And maybe that’s why this story is resonating. In a summer stuffed with reboots and franchises, a low-key love story between two unexpected icons might be the most original twist we’ve gotten.
